About Firebox Junction
Firebox Junction is an independent railfan community for discovering railroads, sharing photographs and recording visits. During private testing it is operated by Jefferson Roth. It is not a railroad operator, ticket seller, travel agent or an emergency service, and it is not affiliated with a railroad unless expressly stated.
Membership and agreement
You must be at least 18 to create a community profile. Use accurate account information, keep your sign-in secure, and do not impersonate another person. By completing the agreement step you accept these Terms and the Community Standards. The linked Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. Agreement versions and acceptance times are recorded.
Schedules, tickets and safety
Listings are informational and may be incomplete, outdated or incorrect. Equipment, schedules, accessibility, prices and availability are controlled by operators. Confirm details directly before travelling or buying tickets. Purchases on linked websites are between you and that provider and are governed by its terms. A post or Logbook badge is not proof of an operating locomotive, completed journey or endorsement. Stay in authorized public areas, follow railroad instructions, and never enter tracks or railroad property without authorization.
Community activity
Members are responsible for their posts, comments and interactions. Firebox Junction does not organize or supervise member-arranged meetups. Respect others’ boundaries and avoid publishing personal contact information or precise home addresses. Follow the Community Standards. We may restrict accounts or remove content for violations, safety concerns, legal obligations or abuse. Report content through its Report button and contact the moderator through Account for questions or an appeal.
Your photographs and content
You retain ownership of your content. Post only material you created or have permission to share, including permission from identifiable people when appropriate. You grant Firebox Junction a nonexclusive license to store, resize, display and distribute your content within the service and through hosting providers needed to operate it. This license does not authorize us to sell your photographs or use them in external advertising without separate permission. Removing a post hides it from other members; account deletion removes its stored community content, subject to the limited retention described in the Privacy Policy.
Use of the service
Do not scrape private member information, bypass access controls, upload malicious files, spam members or use the service for unlawful activity. Railroad names and trademarks belong to their owners. Original Logbook badges are unofficial community designs, not railroad-issued credentials.
Availability and responsibility
We aim to provide a useful service but do not promise uninterrupted availability or the accuracy of member content and external sources. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available and without warranties; Firebox Junction is not responsible for third-party services or losses arising from reliance on third-party information. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
Changes and contact
Material agreement changes will be shown to members for renewed acceptance. The version accepted by a member remains recorded. Contact the operator through Account → Contact moderator for service, content, privacy or agreement questions. Paid memberships are not offered in this test edition; any future paid service will include its own clear pricing and cancellation terms.
