A welcoming Roundhouse
Railfans of every background and experience level are welcome. Be respectful when discussing locomotives, railroads, photography and travel. No harassment, threats, hate speech, sexual exploitation, discriminatory abuse or repeated unwanted contact.
Railroad safety comes first
Never promote trespassing, walking on tracks, entering restricted yards, climbing equipment without permission, interfering with operations or unsafe drone use. A photo opportunity does not justify a dangerous action. Follow posted rules and instructions from railroad staff.
Share responsibly
Post your own photos or obtain permission. Do not repost someone else’s photograph as your own. Give appropriate credit, respect requests from people pictured, and do not expose private addresses, contact details or confidential information. No explicit sexual content, graphic violence, malicious files, scams or misleading impersonation.
Keep it useful and honest
Stay relevant to railroading and the community. Label opinions and memories clearly; confirm current schedules with official operators. No repetitive promotion, deceptive commercial posts or spam. Record only visits you actually made. Logbook visits are self-reported and are not independently verified.
Reporting and moderation
Use Report on a post, comment or profile to explain a concern. Reports go to the moderator, not into the public feed. Moderators may hide content, suspend accounts or dismiss reports. A suspension hides that member’s posts and profile from the community and stops further posting. Contact the moderator through Account to ask about a decision. Do not retaliate against someone who reports a concern.
Connections and meetups
Respect privacy and personal boundaries. Any meetup arranged by members is their own activity. Choose authorized public locations, follow operator rules, and make your own decisions about participation. Firebox Junction cannot verify every member or supervise offline activity. Call local emergency services for an immediate danger; this platform is not monitored continuously.
